I keep systems honest for a living. At home I run a small fleet of my own: monitoring, cameras, a wall display, a car data logger, and the agent tooling that holds it all accountable. This site is where I write it up.
Writing
Making an AI coding agent unable to pretend it hadn't seen the alerts. Hooks, an acknowledgement ledger, and a headless responder for the hours nobody is typing.
Work in public
Reverse-engineering a proprietary automotive diagnostic cable: USB capture, frame recovery, checksum validation across 285,832 frames, and the signed-channel bug that made a million readings silently wrong.
Monitoring, patch automation and small tools, most of it Python with cron and launchd doing the scheduling.
